Hi, I'm Uri. A former optician turned community organizer and community researcher born and raised in Benton Harbor, MI who had to be a part of positive change in the world. I fell in love with storytelling and advocacy when I saw people in my community dealing with inequalities versus the opportunities afforded to the families at my affluent rural school.
I went on to study political-science and I’m currently studying international public health at ASU. I learned the best practices in organizing with Organizing Corp 2020s inaugural class and furthered that training with Arena Academy’s digital organizing director track. These skills allowed me to do everything from serving on a presidential campaign to health care consulting. I’m passionate about being the change I want to see in the world and helping people get their voices heard.
Through my work at Vot-ER building bridges from democracy to healthcare, we’ve been able to strengthen voter access all throughout Michigan and surrounding areas. Are you registered to vote?
